Karachi: Who will host the Asia Cup, will it happen in Pakistan or we will see a hybrid model, as Pakistan suggested? An important meeting, of the Asian Cricket Council, will decide the fate of the mega event.

“Sri Lanka most likely will host Asia cup in the month of September”, a well-placed source, privy to the development, claims

The source added that a few games will be held in Pakistan as suggested in the proposed hybrid model.

“Around four matches could be played in Pakistan while the rest of the event will be shifted to Sri Lanka”, source said

An important ACC meeting, the schedule of which has not been decided as yet, will deliberate upon the matter and the final decision will be determined through voting amongst its members.

Pakistan is the designated host of the Asia Cup, this year, and the event is scheduled in September.
