Karachi: Who will host the Asia Cup, will it be in Pakistan or will we see a hybrid model as suggested by Pakistan? The fate of the mega event will be decided by an important meeting of the Asian Cricket Council.
“Sri Lanka is likely to host the Asia Cup in September,” claims a well-placed source.
The source added that some matches will be played in Pakistan as suggested in the hybrid model.
“Around four matches may be played in Pakistan while the rest will be shifted to Sri Lanka,” the source said.
The matter will be discussed in an important ACC meeting, the schedule of which has not yet been decided, and the final decision will be made by a vote of its members.
Pakistan is the host of the Asia Cup this year and the event will be held in September.
