Karachi: The efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are afoot to bring a team of international stars to Lahore for Twenty20 games however, the federation of international cricketers association (FICA) is still somewhat skeptical over the proposal.

Talking to this correspondent the Executive Chairman of FICA, Tony Irish said that before making the final call, the FICA wanted to see the security plan for the planned matches.

“We are in communication with the PCB regarding this World XI series and are awaiting a response from PCB on various requested details relating to security before we can move forward on it”, Tony Irish said.

“Our security experts have already been to Pakistan to get the brief and we have requested the PCB to revert to us on the further details”, the executive chairman of FICA concluded.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is very optimistic that they would be able to convince FICA on the security arrangements.

“Since the Chairman and COO are abroad for the ACC meeting hence the detailed report, on security arrangements, will be shared with FICA upon their return and it will be done very soon”, a PCB official said.
