Lahore “Dunk” Quetta to register first PSL5 win in style

LAHORE: It was all Ben Dunk show as the local crowd witnessed sixes’ galore at the Gaddafi stadium on Tuesday.

The left-handed Australian hit Quetta Gladiators’ bowlers all around the park for his 43-ball 93, stitched with three fours and 10 sixes.

Allrounder, Samit Patel was also severe on Gladiators to establish a timely 155-run partnership with Dunk after Lahore were 50 for 3 in eight overs.

Samit accumulated 71 off 40 deliveries with nine fours and two sixes to push Lahore Qalandars to 209 for 5 in 20 overs.

It was never easy for Quetta Gladiators as they crumbled under pressure of the mammoth ask.

Lahore wrapped up the Quetta innings at 172 to bag the 37-run victory.

Right-arm paceman Salman Irshad got four while Dilber Hussain, Samit Patel and Faizan bagged two wickets each.

Ben Dunk was declared man of the match.
