Shadab eyes permanent Test spot

KARACHI: Young Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan has said that he would work hard to grab a permanent spot in the Test outfit through “hard work” in first class cricket.

Addressing a press conference at the national stadium in Karachi, on Sunday, the leg-spinner said he played as batting allrounder in Test matches therefore his focus is on batting as well.

“I left the CPL and returned to play first class cricket in the country. I will feature in the upcoming first class games as well, after this series, to bowl long spells”, Shadab Khan said

The right-hander said he has been seriously working on his batting to serve the team as all-rounder.

“I was played as a batting all-rounder in last Test series. I am working hard on improving my batting to serve the team better in Test matches if an opportunity comes”, Shadab Khan added

The 20-year old, regarded as a white-ball specialist, has represented Pakistan in five test matches with 12 wickets to his credit. He has also scored 240 runs with three fifties under his belt.
