Inzamam wants short camp in England

KARACHI: The tough tour to England is just around the corner and the Pakistan cricket authorities are trying various means to adequately shape-up the team for the challenge.  The boot-camp in Abbottabad is part of it where rigorous fitness regime would be adopted to fine-tune the players. Furthermore, the chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq has advised the Pakistan Cricket Board for an early departure to England.  “Inzamam’s idea is to hold a small training camp, before the Pakistan-England series, to get acclimatised to the local conditions”, a source revealed

“The final decision in the regard will be taken by the chairman of the board”, source added

Pakistan are scheduled to arrive in England on June 29th this year to play four Tests, five ODIs and a T20 match against the hosts. In addition, two ODIs are scheduled against Ireland.

Pakistan will tour England for the first time since the spot-fixing scandal of 2010.
