Karachi: As per the schedule, India have to play the ICC women championship series against Pakistan between August and October this year. Since it’s Pakistan’s turn to host, therefore the series is most likely to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in which both the teams are scheduled to play three ODI, most likely in September 2016.

In the ICC women team rankings, after 15 games each, India women team are on 6th and Pakistan on 7th spot. India have won six while Pakistan have had four wins out of the 15 matches.

The ‘scoreline.org’ has learnt that India would lose six points in case of skipping the scheduled series and those six points will be awarded to Pakistan.

Meanwhile a source privy to the development said that the BCCI had sought their government’s directive regarding the series with Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board was hopeful for an affirmative response.

Pakistan and India women have played eight ODIs and Pakistan are yet to register a win against the arch-rivals. Both teams last played an ODI in February 2013 during the ICC Women’s World Cup which India won by six wickets.
