Karachi: After Mohammad Hafeez’s early exit from this Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Lahore Qalandars have to change their captain yet again because of the limited availability of their ace player, AB de Villiers.

“AB’s contract, with Lahore Qalandars, was of playing nine games in PSL4 and he has so far featured in six of them”, a source shared with this correspondent.

“He (AB de Villiers) will not play in Abu Dhabi however will be available for a couple of matches in Lahore”, the source added.

The decision to hand over captaincy to Fakhar seems a forced one however the source says the left-hander was the best amongst the available options to lead the LQ outfit in the remaining PSL4 encounters.

“Fakhar was appointed as captain to maintain consistency in the remaining games. The left hander was the suitable choice as well”, the source concluded.
