Pakistan, Sri Lanka vow further co-operation in sports

Colombo: H.E. Major General Muhammad Saad Khattak (R), High Commissioner of Pakistan, held a meeting with the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr. Namal Rajapaksa, at his office here on Wednesday.

As per the press statement, issued by the Pakistan High Commission, the Pakistan High Commissioner congratulated the honorable Minister on his appointment.

“During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest came under discussion including mutual co-operation through regular sports and youth-related activities.

Both the honorable Minister and the High Commissioner agreed that the interaction of youth of both the countries is vital to bring the future generation closer, the statement said

“You will further see scholarship for youth as well as cooperation in the field of sports including the Lanka Premier League”, a High Commission official told this correspondent.
