Islamabad United ponder to play against NatWest winner

KARACHI: The winner of the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Islamabad United are planning to play against the winner of the NatWest T20 Blast 2016. “The Islamabad vs NatWest idea is just Islamabad United’s brainchild and it will be discussed, along with other matters, in the upcoming meeting”, a PSL official told ‘scoreline.org

“Other franchises will also come up with various ideas in the next meeting”, the official added

The first edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was held earlier this year in the UAE in which five teams – Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, and Karachi Kings – participated. Islamabad United, under Misbah-ul-Haq, won the title by beating Quetta Gladiators, in the final, by six wickets.

“The meeting will also talk about the idea of staging the final of the next PSL edition in Pakistan”, the official concluded

The next meeting of the PSL stakeholders is likely to be held in Lahore on July 1st.
