Uncertainty over Pak-WI series venue ends

June 14, 2016 | By

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reached an agreement with the Emirates Cricket Board to stamped out uncertainty over the series between Pakistan and the West Indies. A source within the board shared with ‘scoreline.org’ that the series against the West Indies would be held in the United Arab Emirates later this year. “The matter has been settled and both the boards (PCB & Emirates Cricket board) have reached an agreement to host the West Indies for a full series later this year”, the source said.

“A day & night test match will also be played during the series and the venue for the match is being discussed at the moment”, the source added

The schedule of the Pakistan-West Indies series will be officially released soon.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) engaged Sri Lankan cricket board and sought feasibility of hosting the Pak-WI series in Sri Lanka.

The ‘scoreline.org’ understands that possibility of hosting the West Indies, in Sri Lanka, could not be materialised due to harsh weather forecast, in Sri Lanka, during the last quarter of the year.
