Despite more than a couple of months, the injured knee of Muhammad Hafeez has not been completely healed as yet, however, a source, privy to the development, said that after the recent rehabilitation regime, the senior batsman was on the path of recovery. “Hafeez has been working hard on his fitness and getting better with every passing day”, the source said

“He has been training and batting at the NCA for the past two weeks. Hafeez will continue his routine in England as well and is likely to regain full fitness before the first test”, the source hoped

Muhammad Hafeez picked up the injury during the Asia Cup in Bangladesh earlier this year, however, went on to feature in the World T20 in India.

Recently, Hafeez had missed the two-week fitness training camp at Kakul.

After multiple MRI scans – one in Karachi – the new physio of the Pakistan cricket team, Shane Hayes has been monitoring Muhammad Hafeez at the national cricket academy in Lahore.
