Saad Nasim hits ton, Nauman Ali bags six wickets

Karachi: Saad Nasim, of Central Punjab, scored unbeaten 136 runs against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help his side declared the first innings on 351-7 at the National Stadium on Monday. Irfanullah Shah bagged three wickets. KP, by the end of day, accumulated 180-3. Adil Ameen (50) and Zohaib Khan (23) will resume the third day on Tuesday. The dismissed batsmen Fakhar Zaman, Israrullah and Kamran Ghulam scored 42, 40 and 20 runs respectively.

Earlier Central Punjab resumed the innings on 276 for 5 with Saad Nasim on 81 not-out.

At the State Bank Stadium, Sindh finished the second day with 80 without loss to build a 50-run lead over Southern Punjab. Sharjeel Khan (45) and Khurram Manzoor (28) will restart the innings on Tuesday.

Southern Punjab, restarted the innings on 41-1 and after getting 30-run lead on Sindh, bundled out on 247. Imran Rafiq (67), Zain Abbas (39), Amir Yamin (35) and Saif Badar (33) were the prominent SP batsmen.

Sindh’s Mohammad Asghar bagged four, Shahnawaz Dhani three and Tabish Khan claimed two wickets. Sindh posted 217 runs in their first innings.

At the UBL sports complex, Balochistan, in their first innings, got out on 372 runs in 116.1 overs. Balochistan now have 169 runs lead over Northern.

Balochistan resumed the second day on 92-0. Akbar-ur-Rehman played a hand of 82 while Imran Farhat stroked 77 and Ayaz Tasawwur amassed 69 runs.

Nauman Ali once again bowled brilliantly for his six scalps against 107 runs. Waqas Ahmed siphoned three wickets.
