PCB’s ways of ineptness and Sethi-ism

May 13, 2018 | By

Pakistan Cricket Board is run on the height of ineptness. The social media department is over employed but their work shows that quality is compromised over quantity!

Nowhere in the world a chairman gives Test cap to the players but in Malahide Sethi was seen handing the green Pakistan caps to Imam-ul-Haq and Faheem Ashraf. It’s a big joke. Usually a former player from the commentary team or a senior member of the team gives Test cap to the debutant but here is PCB chairman doing the job.

There were a lot of bloopers noticed during the Pakistan Cup with scores showing a win by 98 wickets in the result.

The blue eyed boys and girls working in the social media department turn a deaf ear and blind eye to the criticism and continue to enjoy their fairy-tale joyride in the PCB as they are the army of Chairman Najam Sethi. Their premium job is to re-tweet chairman’s tweets, adding a line or two in praise as well.

The chairman is also on away tours, trying to match his predecessor Shaharyar Khan who not only toured on PCB’s expenses but also had a heart operation on a whooping sum of money in UK.

Sethi is bent on leaving Shaharyar behind. He is on the tour of Ireland and will also watch the Lord’s Test.

Believe or not, Sethi is in Ireland on the invitation of the Cricket Ireland!

Also on the trip is chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq. The former great batsman did not have the time to watch the Pakistan Cup matches held in Faisalabad. Perhaps the Faisalabad heat is no match to the cool and refreshing weather of Dublin.

These are the ways of PCB and those who are at the helm of affairs. Pakistan team is not going to achieve great results in Ireland and England and the joyrides of the officials will prove as “rubbing the salt in the wounds.”
