PCB chairman ponders resignation

May 29, 2016 | By

Karachi: There has never been a dull moment in Pakistan Cricket either on or off the field. The dust of the storm, after the disastrous WT20 outing, has somewhat settled however, a well placed source has hinted another storm in offing which will shake the very foundation of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). “The chairman (Shaharyar Khan) isn’t very keen to continue and is likely to step down soon”, the source said

“He (chairman) is likely to tender his resignation during his yearly holidays in August this year”, source added

Sketching the post-resignation scenario, the source said the due procedure will be followed. “As per the PCB constitution, the Board of Governors will elect the next chairman amongst them”, source said

There is a strong impression that Najam Sethi would take over as the new PCB chairman after the above mentioned scenario.
