No quick fix, PCB CEO calls for patience

KARACHI: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Wasim Khan has said that there are daunting challenges before him but he is optimistic with the strategy in place however warned that there is no quick fix.

Interacting with a group of journalists here on Tuesday, Wasim Khan spoke about a lot of issues and shared his vision.

On Misbah ul Haq’s appointment, Wasim terms the former captain a fitting character to manage a crisis situation, adding that Misbah would also have a positive impact on the captain, Sarfraz Ahmed.

Wasim Khan also shared that central contracts have been amended and players are now allowed to carry on with their departmental jobs.

The CEO said that the team’s coaching staff was appointed on Misbah-ul-Haq’s strong recommendation.

Wasim Khan reiterated that Pakistan would play home series in the country.
