Akmal not in NZ tour plan, Shahzad in T20 squad

December 4, 2017 | By

Karachi: Pakistan cricket selectors do not seem impressed with Kamran Akmal’s run of form in domestic cricket as he has not been included in the list of players chosen for the upcoming series in New Zealand.

In the recently culminated national T20 Cup, Kamran Akmal finished up as the top runs getter.

As per sources, Imad Wasim’s inclusion in the squads is subject to fitness and Muhammad Nawaz will replace him if he fails to get fit in time.

Furthermore, Azhar Ali has regained fitness to reclaim berth in the ODI squad while Ahmed Shehzad will be included in the T20 squad.

Pakistan will play five ODI and three T20i on the tour of New Zealand with the first ODI scheduled on January 6th next year.
