U19 tour to Sri Lanka still on: PCB

KARACHI: Uncertainty surrounds the Pakistan U19 team’s tour to Sri Lanka, after the series of deadly blasts in the Island last Sunday, however the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful to embark on the trip as planned.

“We are in touch with the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and they were to give us the green light for the tour which is scheduled to begin on April 30th”, PCB spokesperson Sami-ul-Hasan told this correspondent.

“The SLC is consulting with relevant security quarters and they will respond latest by Monday. As we speak, the tour is still on”, the spokesperson emphasised 

The Pakistan U19 outfit is scheduled to play a couple of four-day games followed by three one-day matches in Sri Lanka.
