Saleem Karim blasts PDCA for ‘misuse of authority’

Karachi: The pioneer of Cricket with physically disabled players, Saleem Karim has expressed displeasure over the manner in which the management of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) is running the affairs of this format’s Cricket in Pakistan.

The founder chairman of the PDCA recently parted ways with the association “because of the disorganised and unprofessional approach of the high ranked PDCA officials”.

Saleem Karim came down hard on the secretary Amiruddin Ansari, adding that he had never been an honorary secretary but a paid one by the PDCA.

He questioned that why the PDCA Secretary charged Rs 5lac for his services on the recent England tour.

Saleem Karim also recalled a number of other “inappropriate” incidents on the last year’s England tour including the misuse of funds and authority.

The former PDCA chairman, while lauding the inclusion of Shahid Afridi into the PDCA as honorary chairman warned that the legendary allrounder should not be kept in the dark about the managerial and financial affairs of the association.
