September 18, 2019 | By

KARACHI: The time is running out but both Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) are hopeful for the upcoming series on time and, more importantly, in Pakistan as per the earlier schedule.

On the one hand, the PCB released the match tickets’ details while on the other side the SLC, too, are not behind with their relevant preparations.

“The tour to Pakistan has not been cancelled as we speak. We still have a few days to announce the travel schedule provided the government gives the green signal”, an official at the SLC told this correspondent.

“The matter is with the Sri Lanka Government. We don’t know about the modalities and mechanism but are hopeful of getting the final decision in few days”, the official added
“The SLC and players are ready for the tour and doing their respective preparations. Of course, the government’s directive is paramount”, the official concluded.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are to play three ODI and many T20i in Karachi and Lahore from later this month.
