Karachi: The preparation for the fifth edition of Naya Nazimabd Ramadan Cup T20 Cricket Tournament is in final stages.
The tournament is likely to be started from the third of Ramadan.
The event offers more than Rs 2 million in prize money, organizers informedscoreline.org on Tuesday.
An organizer said that there were 16 teams and all except Quetta were well-recognized departmental teams.
He said that Rs1 million will be given to the winners and Rs500,000 to the runners up.
The best batsman, the best bowler and the best player of the tournament will also be awarded cash prizes.
A lucky draw will also be held for the spectators in the Hussain Lawai Cricket Stadium in Naya Nazimabad where the tournament is going to be organized.
The organizer said the stadium was ready for the event and final touches were being given to facilitate the teams and spectators.

The stadium has floodlights and many other facilities. The matches will be started from 10 pm.
Overall, 25 matches will be played. Some matches will be telecast on a private channel.
The teams are Quetta, United Bank Limited, State Bank of Pakistan, Sui Sothern Gas Company (SSGC), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), PIA, National Bank of Pakistan, Customs, and Karachi Electric.
