Pak-SL Test in Pakistan to be reviewed during limited-over series

KARACHI: The chances of Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test matches series in Pakistan, do not seem bright at the moment however, the door on the possibility of the red ball series in Pakistan, is not entirely shut either.

As per sources, both cricket board have agreed to discuss the matter further during the limited-over series.

Earlier, the sports minister of Sri Lanka was reported as saying that their team would not play Test matches in Pakistan.

The PCB and SLC announced schedule of the limited-over series in Pakistan with three ODIs and as many T20Is in Karachi and Lahore respectively. The first ODI is chalked for September 27th while the T20Is rubber will commence from October 5th.

The Test match rubber has been deffered till December.

“PCB, SLC officials have not reached a conclusion yet but discussion on Test series in Pakistan is ongoing and will be further reviewed during the limited-over series in Pakistan”, sources said

Pakistan has not hosted a Test series on its soil ever since the visiting Sri Lanka team was attacked in Lahore in 2009.
