Younis likely to get key post in junior setup

KARACHI: The legendary former Test stalwart, Younis Khan is said to be on the verge of getting an important assignment at the junior tier to look after the younger lot of cricketers in the country.

A source further claimed that if the former Test captain is appointed then complete authority, in other relevant matters, would also be given to him.

“The PCB is considering Younis Khan as the head coach of Pakistan U19 outfit along with additional responsibilities of the junior chief selector”, the source said.

Younis Khan, the highest Test runs scorer from Pakistan, hung his boots about two years back. He has been associated with PSL franchise, Peshawar Zalmi as their mentor.

“Former Test spinner Nadeem Khan is a strong contender for U19 team manager’s post”, the source concluded.
