Karachi: The fifth edition of the Shpageeza T20 league, under the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), will be kicked off from July 18th in Kabul.
As many as ten Pakistani players have been picked by various participating outfits during an auction held on Thursday.
Pakistan’s veteran wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal was picked by Kabul Eagles for a whopping sum of 5.2 million AFN [around USD 72, 000] which is the highest amongst the foreigners in the Shpageeza T20 League.
Apart from Kamran Akmal, his brother Umar Akmal, Muhammad Nawaz, Imran Khan (Junior), Muhammad Rizwan, Anwer Ali and Sohail Khan will get 700, 000 AFN each while Babar Azam have been picked for 740, 000 AFN. Sohail Tanvir and Rumman Raees were sold out for 4.2 AFN each.
The Shpageeza T20 League is scheduled to be held from July 18th the July 28th in Kabul. Apart from Pakistan, players from Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will also be featuring in the six-team event along with junior and senior local players.
