Karachi: KCCA president Professor Ijaz Ahmed Farooqui, whose president-ship completed on May 2, 2017, filed petition in the Sindh High Court to stay as KCCA president as he is also a member of PCB Governing Board
.
He filed petition in the court of Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, pleading that he is a member of PCB’s governing body, and it is his constitutional right to continue as president KCCA till August 12, 2017, when his three year tenure as PCB Governing Board member completes.
The petition also said that out of seven KCCA zones, elections had not been held in two because of which KCCA election was not possible.
The Court accepted his petition for hearing and issued notices to respondents.
